Letter from the Township

March 17, 2020

Residents of Margaretta Township,

There is a lot of information going around about closings and cancelations for schools, events and businesses.  It is the intention of the Board of Margaretta Township Trustees to continue to provide our current services to all of the residents of the township.

Our Fire Department stands trained, equipped, staffed and ready to serve you the public when you need them.  Our Road Department is continuing their work around the township and in the cemeteries as usual and our Zoning Inspector is available for any permits or questions that you may have.

But we, the Board of Trustees, must make some changes to protect the personnel and operations of these departments during this time. Although it is appreciated when someone from the public just drops in to our buildings to conduct business, ask a question or to just say hello, this must be limited.  Entrance to the Townhall and Fire Station is by the Main Street entrance only and access to the rest of the building will be limited.  We would appreciate that any nonemergency contact that you may have with our various Township departments be via email or phone call to the various departments if possible.

The Trustees will continue to hold public meetings on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

The phone numbers and email addresses for the Trustees, Departments and Department heads are posted on our website, https://www.margarettatwp.org,  our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/Margaretta.Township , or by calling 419-684-9500.  Please contact the Township by these methods when possible.

Thank you.

Tim Riesterer, Chair

Margaretta Township Board of Trustees
