It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Captain Barry Brunner after 49 years of service. Captain Brunner began his career with Margaretta Fire June, 1967. Over the years, Captain Brunner rose through the ranks from auxiliary firefighter, firefighter, Lieutenant ,Captain and Asst. Chief. Throughout his years of service, Capt Brunner watched the department grow from an all volunteer service to today being a combination fire department with 10 full-time members. 

Captain Brunner's presence and leadership will be sorely missed around the firehouse by all members of the department. Thank you for your years of dedication and service to the department, township and citizens. Happy retirement Capt. and hope to see you still around the table for coffee.
