The Margaretta Township
Trustees met in regular session on April 15, 2010 at 7 p.m. Present were Mr.
Bias, Mr. Riesterer and Mr. Pooch.
Mr. Riesterer moved, seconded
by Mr. Bias to approve the minutes that were presented by the Fiscal Officer
for the April 1, 2010 meeting. Vote: all ayes.
Mr. Bias moved, seconded by Mr.
Riesterer to accept the financial reports that Fiscal Officer, Mary Ann
Lindsley presented.
Mr. Riesterer moved, seconded
by Mr. Bias to approve and sign warrants 9598-9640, that were presented by
the Fiscal Officer for payment. Vote: all ayes.
Mr. Scott Thom from the Health
Department was at our meeting. Mr. Scott gave a report on our commercial and
residential plumbing permits. Mr. Thom also gave an update on projects the
Health Department has going.
Chief Keimer gave his Fire
Department report. Chief gave a report on the dispatch meeting. He said they
are going to be meeting weekly and hope to come up with a plan. He also
mentioned our contract with the City of Huron. The trustees are concerned
that we may not be getting the coverage we expected, since the City of Huron
is having the county dispatch for one shift a day. The trustees said they
plan to talk to Mr. White from Huron to address their concerns. The trustees
asked Chief Keimer if anything is being done about condemned property. Tom
said we could get started on them now.
Mr. Riesterer moved, seconded
by Mr. Bias to pay for the new electrical service at Lions Park out of
General Fund (Improvement of Sites) for a cost not to exceed $4000. Vote:
all ayes.
Mr. Bias moved, seconded by Mr.
Riesterer to hire Tom Kennedy as a seasonal Cemetery worker at a rate of
$10/hr., effective 4/15/2010. Vote: all ayes. Tom can begin working on
Monday April 19, 2010, as long as his paperwork is in.
Trustees mentioned that the
Recreation Levy renewal in on the May 4, 2010 ballot.
Mr. Riesterer moved, seconded
by Mr. Bias to adjourn. Vote: all ayes. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50
