The Margaretta Township Trustees met in regular session on February 16, 2006
at 7 p.m. Present were Mr. Riesterer, and Mr. Pooch and Mr. Bias.
Mr. Riesterer moved, seconded by Mr. Pooch to approve the minutes from
the February 9, 2006 meeting, with the spelling correction of Chief Keimer’s
name. Vote: all ayes.
Mr. Pooch moved, seconded by Mr. Riesterer to accept the financial
reports submitted by the fiscal officer. Vote: all ayes.
The following warrants were presented by the fiscal officer for the
trustee’s approval and signatures. They were approved and signed.

Sue Daugherty will be at our April 6, 2006 meeting with a Serving our
Seniors report.
Mr. Pooch moved, seconded by Mr. Riesterer to pay Erie County Solid Waste
Management the 10 cents/ per capita ($466.20) contribution to Erie County
Recycling and Litter Prevention. Vote: all ayes.
Mr. Pooch moved to pass Resolution 2006-03 authorizing Timothy Riesterer
to file a application with the Erie County Solid Waste Management District
for the purpose of acquiring funds to implement a community cleanup event.
Mr. Riesterer seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: A. Joe Bias-yes, Gary
Pooch- yes and Timothy Riesterer- yes.
This is to be held the first Saturday in June 2006. Tim talked to Groton
and told them that we want to have the whole thing here this year.
Mr. Riesterer mentioned a company that could put together a map of our
community. The trustees feel we should look into this and have them come in
and talk to us.
At the Erie County Assoc. Meeting on February 2, 2006 the National
Incident Management classes were mentioned. They may hold a one day class
that would be funded by LEPC.
There is a meeting on March 15 to go over tax abatements.
Trustees would like to see signs added to our welcome to Margaretta
Township signs with our web site listed.
Trustees had a copy of our road mileage certification.
The appropriations were discussed. Trustees said that all money should be
appropriated.
Mr. Bias asked Mary Ann to check on our Star Ohio interest rate to see if
it would be better to pay off our loan for the fire truck or keep the extra
in Star Ohio.
Chief Keimer gave his report. He gave the trustees the top 3 applications
for the part time dispatch position.
Mr. Pooch moved, seconded by Mr. Riesterer to spend $360 plus shipping
for a SCBA face piece testing kit. Vote: all ayes.
Mr. Pooch moved, seconded by Mr. Riesterer to hire Debra Christiansen as
a part time dispatcher effective 2/18/2006 on a 6 month probationary period
at a rate of $10.50/hour, pending passing a physical and drug test, or with
proof of a current physical that was passed. Vote: all ayes.
Mr. Pooch moved, seconded by Mr. Riesterer to purchase a Dell computer at
a cost of $650 for the zoning department. Vote: all ayes.
Mr. Pooch moved, seconded by Mr. Riesterer to adjourn. Vote: all ayes.
The meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
